Same issue here in both worlds A6 and A7. Refresh doesn't do any good, it's like it has a mind of it's own and reappears when it feels like it.

u can still upgrade hiding by using the "graphical view" which i never use and dont bother upgrading until theres nothin else and no-one left to conquer ...

I'm having the same issue. If the hiding place is there, as soon as you upgrade something it disappears. Annoying for me because I'm trying to demolish the hiding place!! I have to click to demolish it, it then disappears, and I come back later to repeat. So annoying! I'm on 2nd gen iTouch (iOS 4.something, not 5+)
