It is NOT fixed on my end. Still cannot rename captured cities from other players. Also wasted 5 gold on the first encounter of this problem and would like it back.

I still can only rename capped Barbs. Valor won't allow me to rename a named city I cap from an enemy!

I've opened a ticket for this days ago. I too was hoping for the 5g to rename my city.

I am looking into the paid name change issue. You should still receive the first name change for free, but there is a bug stopping that right now. Working to get that fixed.
