Even if you were allowed to join an old world (where you would be cannon fodder as soon as the beginner's protection ran off), there would be a very slim chance that you would be anywhere near your friends. When they start a new world, you and your friends need to join the world at exactly the same time (or as close as you can). You might even try specifying a direction when you join. If you aren't together, you can try again.

You can only play on worlds newer than the one you originally started on. You can't play on older worlds.

Hiw do you change worlds? I go to portal and it shows me my planet. But no arrows or ways to scroll to different worlds. And when I look at list of worlds it just gives me stats. Help! Trying to play with people I know haha
