Interesting, I have never played with the graphical city off, and until a minute ago I had never turned it off. I sort of assumed it would just change into a list of buildings, but that is not the case. I see entirely where the graphical recruitment complaint is coming from.

I guess that's true if you use the graphic presentation of the city but many of us prefer not to.

Edit: This post does not actually apply to the conversation, though at the time I thought it did :)

I don't find the new troop selection any harder to use. But I am largely in 3 lvl forge worlds, which I suppose could change the way a person recruits troops.

A few things that people might find helpful from simple to counterintuitive.

The building you click determines which troop page you begin on. Don't click barracks if you want to build ballistics.

You can see the in-city troop count of three troops at once, same as previous set up, except now it is possible to see troop count of two different types of troops together, viewing the partial contents of two buildings at once.

The quickest route to guards is through the workshop. Click, swipe, click, and I am building max number of guards. Previously this would have been click, swipe, slide, click.

Many of us are also tired of the minutiae. PwnLaw has promised relief in future updates.

Waiting for it to go away. Starting to get tired of the time consumed with scholarships and recruiting...
Can't this be automated after 50 cities?
Have to waste 1 hour just to deal with this stuff.
I'm losing interest fast...

Orlor has already said the next update will include a toggle to turn it off.

Please PM change it back I agree with everyone here, it looks cool but is completely impractical please ASAP

Less is more. The graphics might be better served if we click an "info" button on the unit type. To have us swiping through all the different troops becomes an irritation and makes people resent the great work you've put into the graphics. I think troop building should be similar to the Forge; all in one place. If you select Barracks, Stable, or Workshop, it just "jumps" to that section for quicker access. However, we should be able to scroll up/down to get to the other units.

There have been several players suggest that being able to disband units would be good

There has never been any indication that this is impossible / difficult / maybe

I've never seen anyone ask for better graphical depictions of the units

Despite the issues involved in redesigning the recruitment page, it's been done

Play mesh does ask for feedback but the changes often don't reflect a response to the feed back

the new design is amazing and im sure you guys at playmesh wanted to show it off - but it is not practical.
I have to always go to the Rally Point to get an overview of my troop count.
can you have an option to turn this off eg like the Graphical City?

Oh this would be great.
