If find updates generally work after viewing a few cities. Sometimes if you view your guild member list and then tap on a specific player it will give you a more recent score and then refreshing the rankings window will reflect this. Maps appear to cache data for 12 hours to 1 day which makes some sense at least on the older larger worlds with 60k + villages.

Is there any upcoming release that will deal with the update of players rankings? Also I recommend you take a look at the issues regard the map updates, it hard to close out worlds with the maps not being reliant
