There is a difference between basic defense and % defense. Cities have both.

If you take down their walls, they lose the additional % defense but they will retain at least a small amount of basic defense.

How did I not even think about walls? Fail...

Use the simulator. If there are no walls then you will lose no troops. If there are walls then you may, depending on the level of the walls...

Question about losing troops

Post by Deigo 73 » Tue Jan 03, 2012 11:06 am

If I send 100 Knights into a city without any troops (scouted before the attack), how is it that I lose 1-3 Knights in the attack? I can only assume that the barbarian city I attacked made a couple of units in the 15min between my scout and my attack. Any other ideas or known information?
