More accurately it could just say "There was an error with connecting to Valor. "

The part about checking the internet connection is just to make sure you have one. If you do then you know it isn't that.

It doesn't say the problem is the Internet connection, it just asks if you could check it.

Just admit that you're having a server error. Placing the blame on the individual users is both unprofessional and stupid. It is easily disproved by the functionality of all other Internet based apps or browsers.
