Research Points Explanation

As you would in a world without multiple levels of research, you have to upgrade the forge and other buildings to unlock the ability to research certain units. Beyond that the only thing limiting your research is how many research points you have and your available resources. For example: With a Lvl 3 Forge, you could have Lvl 3 Lancers, Sentries, and Berserkers, if that's what you wanted. You'd still have 1 point left over, so you'd have to have at least a Lvl 1 Stable to put your last point into researching Scouts. With a Lvl 10 Forge, you can downgrade any units that you've put points into, much like how you need a Lvl 15 City Hall to be able to demolish/downgrade your buildings. Hopefully this helps.

The unit overview and research drill down have not yet been combined. The overview lists the basic values.

The unit overview is also out of date.

Dark, I believe that is a display bug. If you maxed out your points, you wouldnt be able to revoke.

I am new to playing multi level research worlds. There seems to be no graph explaining the differences between the levels. Am I right in assuming that the attack and defense points of units in the unit overview are the max points available if you have level 3 research? If I have a level 1 guardian what defense and attack strength does it have for example?

If I destroy my forge and rebuild it do the research points start over as well or are they right back to what they were?

According to the game, you require a level 10 forge in order to revoke points.

Go to the revoke tab on the forge screen to lower down any unit by one level.

I have researched lv3 for lancer and lv 2 for knight and sentry. So how can I down lv of any type ( lancer, sentry...) to research guardian?

Yes. If your in a world with multiple research levels, you can. Ustomize each cities research points to your liking. But you only have 10 points.
