It has been my experience up until recently that worlds have had a population max of about 60k players.
In world 96, the population max was 30k. Such a low population max had a terrible effect on the world. World 96 is less than two months old, yet is already quickly dying off. There was not much competition in this world, and my guild easily triumphed over all the other guilds. In fact, most other guilds just gave up instead of giving us a good fight... This has honestly been one of the most boring worlds I've ever played in, and most blame it on the low population of the world. Yet, it seems like newer worlds have an even lower population cap of about 20k. If Valor has any hope of continuing to be a fun game, the population of the worlds need to be kept high. As it is, many of my guild mates are so bored that they are not only quitting world 96, but quitting Valor altogether, because they see the low population of future worlds and think to themselves "why bother?" The Valor community is starting to feel like a ghost town these days as well. It took world 108 nearly three days to reach 20k players before it closed and world 109 opened. Noob protection wore off and there were still under 20k players that had joined. Are there just less people playing Valor these days or what? I remember the days when a world would reach 60k players in two days.
Hopefully the new version of Valor currently being beta'd will reinvigorate Valor as well. I've heard it's pretty awesome. Any idea when the new version of Valor will roll out to live, "non beta" servers?
