Well, the first thing you can do is click on there name and then select 'add contact' and then the other person will get a friend request from you. Do this to me to try it.

The way i know how to do it is, just go to your profile then click or tap on "Member List" go through the list and choose a member you want to friend and then just click/tap on "Add Friend"
