I always keep the 20,000 farm space available to troops so I don't build my market past lvl 20

It's one of the things I target. When I want to cripple someone (I've a few cities with 1200 rams and 1200 ballistas) I start with farm, then warehouse, then quarry, then forge, then academy. Turns that city into something unusable for a good while

That doesn't seem to be high on the list for ballista targets though

Everything I've read suggests that is the case, but that if someone knocks down your academy you'll need to spend the time rebuilding your forge before you can build the academy back up

Do you know if once you have an academy you can demolish your forge and still use your academy?

Depends if you want an edge on the leader boards. Also, higher point cities are most likely to be targeted first.

Academy per city is nessesary to turn full warehouses into scholarships and to produce scholars faster.

I have 1 max market per cluster, the remaining cities are half or less.

Max points or max pop?

So for anyone who ever played tribal wars, this was something I wondered about there too.

Is the benefit of having a maxed market/forge/all recruitment buildings/academy worth the population loss from those buildings?

I was thinking it wasn't, but then when I was looking at population I realized that in order to leave 20,000 population for troops, most other things don't make the cut.

Mostly just wondering what other people's opinions on this are.
