i dont really need to get my barracks up so high before i get my academy. i usually am only at 10k when i build my academy. personally i believe that making a strong attack army is the best way to go in the beginning. and about joining a guild i usualy wait for a couple of days to evaluate the guilds around me and see which ones are active. (thats if im not starting up my own guild and recruiting friends with me)

If you don't upgrade your iron mine much then by the 2nd week it takes 3 hours to get the iron you need to upgrade buildings. Soon your other resources are maxed at 50,000 and you are struggling for the 1,000 iron needed to upgrade your iron mine. By the 2nd week I can trade 1,000 iron for up to 2,500 of other resources. While other players are hoping other players like me take their offer. My warehouse and market is big so I can trade with a lot of players. Then I can upgrade more buildings without the wait. Also having a lot of iron helps you to add more units. Then you can take more cities quickly with all of the units you have.

Honesty, these guides take forever a key to getting resources without wasting money is twitting. I made a junk twitter and now I get double the resources from quests. Also people who say iron mine isn't important don't know what their talking about. Forge takes more iron than anything so does forge research so don't listen to these guys make ironmine same level as other buildings

Just a quick info note for newer players who aren't aware - these are the reasons to farm with the following units:
Lancers: cheap and second highest carrying capacity per farm space
Sentries: cheap in the lumber department (they're great to build when you have excess iron) and have the highest carrying capacity per farm space
Knights: quickest unit in the game and tied with lancers for second highest carry capacity per farm space (although they are a bit pricey, they're most certainly worth it)

I know this is common sense for most - Im just throwing this out there for people who are new.

Yeah it most certainly shouldn't take a person that long to reach those goals. The most important thing is to be constantly farming in the beginning. In the first couple of days it helps to reach lvl 5-10 of each of the buildings that don't take very long to build for the quest resources, but after that it's all about farming.

I, personally, don't see much use for zerks for farming - lance/sent fill the need until I am able to build knights (best early game farming unit hands down).

And @ the person who posted before me, maybe u go to sleep and get attacked BECAUSE u put so much into zerks.. I mean lol. It's a trade off. Go to bed feeling safe, not an easy target

Does it really take u that long to do all that? Maybe the days should be shortened to week 1.. Week 2..
