You would need to buy 6 scholarships before you can train your third scholar, then 10 scholarships before you can train your fourth scholar etc.

@Pauld2468
Using your above example to get your third scholar, you would have done 6 scholarships or three?

1st scollar= 1 scolarship
2nd scollar= 2 scollarships
3rd scollar= 3 scollarships
4th scollar= 4 scollarships
And so on

Each conquered city uses up one scollar as he moves in and takes over.

Ive found on long journeys its best to have 5 scollars ready or youll have to do continuous round trips which in that time the loyalty starts to climb back up.

Some worlds the loyalty regenerated +3 per hour. So over a 10 hour return trip the scollar attack becomes usless as the loyalty will go back up 30 points with just one scollar. It takes 4-5 scollar attacks to conquer a city. So send in 5 waves of scollars with a few hundred knights, guards and bariskers with each wave right after another but make sure youve cleared the city of all trooos first

Could you explain the escalating scholarship cost mechanism?

The scholarships are linked to you as a player not the city.
The actual scholar is like any other troop linked to the city its educated in

Question?

Does each new cit that you cap an build an academy in start from zero? Meaning do you only need 1 scholarship for the first scholar produced in a city.

Or is it somehow linked to the amount of scholarships in pour other cities?

There's nothing cheap or efficient about it. In the early game, build 1 academy and have the cities nearby feed it resources. Once you get 5-10 cities, this becomes tedious and then its easiest to have 1 in each city.

Just wondering what the best scholar building strategy is?

This escalating scholarship is really confusing and I am not sure what the cheapest most efficient way is to make them.

Any suggestions?
