To be frank, we don't need to dumb down. Clay, lumber, and iron are building materials. It all works into the strategy of the game. A good way to make Valor less complicated is to learn the game. These forums will help greatly in that whereas the old forums really were not capable of that sort of thing.

I used to play that game on FB and I didn't like the gold resource. The reason I play Valor it's because it's the same as Tribal Wars and I love it, if they change the resources for gold that are killing the economic strategy part!

It may be cool to have gold incoming from the free people you have in your town, like if a farm lvl 26 can get 12k people and you use only 7k then you get a income of 2 g/h for each free dud, in that case you get:
5000*2=10k gold/h
And gold may be use to:
Get resources
10g -> 1 lumber (example)
A scholarship may cost gold too:
30k lumber, 40k clay, 35k iron and 30k gold
Rent troops:
1 lancer, sentry, berk -> 1g/h
2 scouts -> 2g/h
1 knight -> 3g/h
1 guard -> 5g/h
And so on (example)

Or i don't know, but maybe geting gold may make that people may think better their strageti and remember this are examples, if you like the point you can try to use it ^^

A city made out of gold does sounds nice. I don't know how the game worked on facebook, but I can imagine that it shouldn't be that complicated, since it's just an extra function and not like Valor wherein the gameplay is the first.

How are you going to build anything without Iron, Lumber, or Clay...

It was like this in a game called realm of empires on Facebook and I think it made the game more fun it is pretty much the same game as valir it was just a degradation though

I think the lumber,clay,iron concept plays a key role for Valor, from marketng to conquering barbarian villages. This suggestion may be heard but not implemented, hopefully not.

Damn how hard is it for you to keep track of more then one thing?
Isn't it just more realistic this way, or are we gonna construct everything just out pure gold?

One way to do this would be instead of using lumber clay and iron just have like gold or silver this way the game would be way less complicated at u would only focus on 1 instead of 3 just a suggestion
