I can contradict myself now: In a way a scout is a spy and a scholars/ballistas are assassins. There is no need for others.

Agreed scout <> assassin :)

I find I use scouts very little and was thinking of what would push me to use them more.

I like the assassination :cool: but agreed it would need to be limited somehow.

idk about the scholar killing thing but otherwise it could be a good idea.
I dont like the scholar killing because it takes forever to make a scholar but anybody can make a buttload of scouts and kill one. it would only make a bunch of trolling in the game with scouts.

Scouts should be able to do more then just spy reports and the user would select as they do with ballistas now:
- Demoralize army (make them less effective or cause 5% to flee)
- Steal resources (5 per unit)
- Sabotage buildings (100/250 scouts can take a building down 1 unit)
- Assassinate scholars (500/1,000 successful scouts can kill one scholar)
- Spy city (including troop movement)

Just an idea that I have seen in other games.
