Dodging is a relatively easy feat. It's all about timing. As far as would I in your scenario wasjoel, no. I normally am one to stand a fight but especially if I knew five fully supported scholars were on the way. No weak one to pick off. Plus I'd lose the city if I dodged. But dodging is easy just not always smart

just send one scholar each from 5 different cities. 5 times more support will be available for each scholar. dodge that.

I would guess so. So this idea isn't really necessary. No offense cocojubee

Isn't this concept like dodging?

Yeah. So in theory, the attacking troops should decide whether troops are killed or not. So I could decide to cap the city with no losses. And gates wouldn't work because of what I mentioned earlier. Not saying that this is a bad idea, just that it needs more thought and backups to prevent abuse like has been mentioned

The resources are inside the city, and it's the attacking troops prerogative to kill / not kill. They are called attacking troops for a reason.

Still though. I'd love to see the look on my attacker's face when his/her clearing waves survive but all scholar waves die because I chose when I would fight

Ladders and stuff have been implied as standard equipment. I don't think they let the enemy stroll right on in as it is now.

Post by Fire820 » Sun Jun 03, 2012 7:59 pm

I would just close my gates for the clearing waves and open them for the scholar waves.

Well, your city would be conquered easily if your troops refuse to fight.
