What if you could send troops out to meet with an invading troop? If I send berserkers to meet with a schoolar attack, this could create an event, perhaps with its own link both with coords and a time, enabeling other citys and players also to send troops to that event? We could have huge wars with all the soliders from one guild against all the soliders from another in the middle of the map. Could also open up new possibilitys of fakes, but allso of huge events with 50 players involved.
And maybe that way you could be able to use the map more? Say you have some water, or a hill, or forests, where certain soliders are better than others. Yes, if I defend in my city I have a wall, but my lvl3 Pirate troops are way better at sea than your knights, and if I time it right, I can choose to fight right where the sea is. I could specialise in terrain. Also the map would look better.
Did I mention seasons?
Pirates have a hard time on ice, and everyone but the yeti-troops are horrible in the mountain at wintertime. Also Aurora needs to get dressed once in a while ;-)
