awe! a hiding place to hide troops. good idea. hide my scholars ... hide my offensive troops. I like!!

Why not use hiding place to increase loyalty regain speed. The hiding place not only holds resources but can also house a secret underground rebellion army to thwart the invaders attempts to take the city. Each level increases the speed loyalty is regained by a little ( don't want to make it impossible to capture)
This would give players another reason to use hiding place. (you already can't target the hiding place with ballista.). The hiding place level shows on scout reports so you will know if you have to contend with a rebel force when attacking. and can adjust tactics accordingly ( more scholars, more frequent attacks. )

Historically but I do see your point as to why they should be used on walls first but that's why we have rams

@Orlor: That idea has, in my opinion, merit. Loyalty is something that currently can't be protected (nor should it be absolutely protected). Making it more difficult to lower loyalty, and allowing loyalty to regenerate faster, could be interesting.

It could also affect morale (both on outgoing as well as incoming attacks).

Haha r u speaking histroically or a joke about the game?

Ballistas were able to shoot over walls they just had them raised a little so they could get over the wall so they should be able to shoot over and not just attack the wall

Orlor, that was one idea I really liked. That would be perfect! And actual target for ballistae! And I was here thinking they were useless!

Post by liljames326 » Thu Jan 26, 2012 7:19 pm

Understandable, but ballistas should not be able to shoot over or "through" walls and not damage them. Read my post on the thread Archers, it goes into a few things should be accounted for.

And well yes more like take 4 off each attack. And well, make the "take off X amount of loyalty," be an upgrade in the forge for the temple. The forge should broaden its horizons or another building should be made for building upgrades and production increases.

Way I am thinking about it. A normal scholar attack takes 20-30 loyalty off a city currently.

But if you had a maxed level temple it would only take 19-29. Or maybe even like 16-26.

Would have to make it really expensive to build though, then it would be a huge target for balistas.

I like to add my own personal ideas on the forums sometimes, to promote some creative ideas in others.

Well maybe so, per scholar attack you mean? It would be nice. Lol, are you a mod? Haha making things up yourself.
