I thought of the unofficial alliance angle, or "chaos buddies" so to speak, but figured that may be hard enough to manage that it woul prevent it. Hell we have guys attacking guild mates who have dropped the guild briefly for some reason because they are no longer the right color! I think it would be tough to remember if a brown city is a potential enemy or one of your "chaos buddies."

What if alliances are shared?
If A is allied with B and it is allied C which is allied with D, they all become allies....
B has C and A has D,
Then C and D will also become allies,
B and A as well!

Take this scenario: You have Guilds A, B, C, and D.
Guild A is allied with C and D yet chaoses B through an unspoken alliance.
Guild B is allied with D and A yet chaoses C through an unspoken alliance.
Guild C is allied with A and B yet chaoses D through an unspoken alliance.
Guild D is allied with B and C yet chaoses A through an unspoken alliance.

Btw. An "unspoken alliance" is an alliance that they know is there but not written down for whatever reason

How about making it where all allies are treated just like guild mates? They cannot be attacked, but can be supported.... Then make alliances a one time only thing. If the diplomacy is changed once between two guilds it cannot be changed again. It can be broken but not reformed. This way we could not "chaos" allies anyway, and could not just break an alliance to get "chaos" and then reform it. The support capability would still then make it worthwhile to form alliances. What do you think?
