I also play another similar game on the iphone (while im waiting for stuff to finish on valor) and yes in that one you can dismiss any troops instantly as well as a bunch of other great features that would be great to have in valor.

Furthermore some features they have over there have been discussed here like the ability to buy speed ups from a 1 minute upto a 24 hours speed up as well as combining multiple speed ups on a single upgrade including asking your guild mates to help speed up production on everything including troop movement and recruitment.

If any of the mods here would like the name of that game to perhaps better improve or get some ideas for valor you can private im me and i can tell you.

I wont say the name of the other game here

Lol this idea of a delete button makes me laugh; not that this is not a bad a idea. This game is to mimic medival time, it would be hilarious if there is a delete button. Here is why:

King: f**ck!! I have no space in my city!! what can i do?

Lord38233: well your hiness, i suggest you kill off some of my men. We are at peace now and they don't do shjt but eat all the foods in the barrack!

King: Good idea!! Lord38233, send 10k lancers into the "deletetion" chamber. I want 10k of them killed to make room for smarter asses like scholars and guardians.

Lord38233: SIR, Yes Sir!! i will send 10k dumbasses to Heaven right away, Sir !!!

NARRATOR: and so beacause of PS1, the creator of valor decided to create a "delete" button allowing the King to kill of his 10k lancers to create more "farm space."
The End

Hmm ok how about a troop destruct option like we have for decontructing buildings.

Choose the amount of troops you want to destruct and it takes half the time it would to reqruit them

Yeah but I find it can be tedious and more difficult than deleting them. Also because all of my cities are basically right on top of each other it can be a little bit of a trek to my closest ally from some of my cities.

I usually find a close ally to send units to die at. I message a player near me and we use each other to kill off unwanted units. Then I send 5 or 10 units at a time so I don't kill any units and their wall does most of the work and they don't lose any units.

That's what I do pauld

Yea but depending on how far away your guild mate is it may take hours to kill off extra troops.

I just send multiple barb attacks of 10 lancers or 10 sents close to my cities. Within minutes i can get rid of 100+ troops Usually no one returns

This is what my guild does. One person has a disposal city with high walls and troops. If somebody wants to discard a solider then they just send it to that city.

I've got this problem only once, and then I sent the unneeded troops to a guildmate who needed them more. win-win :)

Consider adding the ability to delete/decommission troops (and scholars) when you need to open farm space (or relocate scholars).

Sending troops/scholars to die only consumes time with no value added to gameplay.

From a strategy standpoint, when you are surrounded by enemy cities and you need to create scholar space, an attack of several hundred "farm space" units telegraphs your intent to the enemy.

As a game progresses, local barb or inactive cities have been destroyed to the point that they are not practical to kill off troops, leaving enemy cities as the only option.
