I get a good chunk of my resources from other players ;D this may be resource efficient, but if I have 5 people around me all only building resources, then I guess I'm getting a really good start hehe. Personally, I do my best to build quickly and be someone a larger guild would want on their team. But of course sometimes we can get a really late start, to that I say either start the next one early or attempt to outbuild your surrounding players.

I see what you mean about the ip thing. As for speed worlds, I do believe most of them are probably fair. Actually of you do the math I was right in what I said. Lancers 20k = 400,000 attack force Zerks 20k = 1,000,000 attack force. Guards 5k = 575,000 attack force Knights 6666 = 733,260 attack force Lancers are 40% as effective as zerks while guards are 58% as effective. Why you'd waste them on attacks...

It's situational.. Say you only have 2 scholars and/or no escort. Then perhaps taking a barb and converting it would be better. But if you have the scholars/troops, I'd say go for The Lord city. The resource loss from barbs adds up quite fast, but so does the resource/growth gained from capping barb...
