Exactly the same here. The whole game is getting slower and slower. I have a 150 city empire in W19 which is pretty much unmanageable now due to the time taken to go from city to city. I started a new one in 34 thinking its be much quicker without the pull of the 150, but ohhhh no, error message aft...

I can see your point, but it honestly soon becomes irrelevant. I've currently got 120 fully maxed cities, with a force of 30 scholars in reserve to attack other players. I generate over 400 scholarships per day, which equates for me to just over two new scholars per day. If resource costs were lower...

But then it's not realistic that an army rolls up and doesn't notice that the city has been conquered and the guards at the gates are your mates from the barracks either! I'm sure it's in there as a game mechanic to encourage conflict with allies over attacking cities, we are supposed to fight after...
