Just to let you know, we have a new team working on a big rewrite currently and we'll see pretty much all these problems go away with that release this summer.

I realize it has been a while, but we have a new team in place and want to take care of you. Is this still an issue?

If you see my post about beta testers, this is a full rewrite, new language, new engine, revamping it all to clear out these issues and make forward progress significantly easier.
