World 41. Goto maps. Nothing on the screen. Tried to refresh. Nothing. Really bad.

I used gold for world 38. All it does is get you name to the top of the list faster. It worked. I wouldn't do it again. It doesn't really matter. After you take a city the game seems to speed up.
