I have to agree with MaterMEEDO. Support was prolly already in the city when the player barbed. When you attacked, the player with the imbedded support received a tripwire report.

fill out a support request with Valor. Click the gear icon (top right in game), click the "Help" button top right, then "support". Then click the message icon bottom right.
