For the rewards you get (not much), if the fix is to destroy and rebuild your academy, my advice would be to just build some scholars, take over a city, and build an academy in that one. That should get your quest completed.

Yup. If you've reinstalled and it didn't fix things, there is most likely a bug somewhere. I would expect a friendly moderator/admin will wander by in the near future and poke one of the friendly people in support. :)

Restart your application and/or your device. If that doesn't fix it, uninstall/reinstall Valor. This is most likely a data population issue; ie., your local device isn't getting the information from the server that you have completed the quest. A restart and/or reinstall ought to fix it. Burn all the books in the kingdom. Hire ogres to be the students. Or go the old fashioned route and get an army that will defeat whatever forces are guarding the scholar.

Brainstorming is a much better platform for ideas. It takes less developer time for something that may, ultimately, be deemed not implementable. Besides, it doesn't take a lot of work coming up with the effects an idea would have on game play. I came up with 2 just from reading your suggestion.
