Cannot retrieve message posted to me

I saw a message poste on the top of my iPad saying please return to valor to receive... Blah blah blah.
I'm only saying blah, because I did not have time to read the whole message.
So go through the login password prompt, get into valor, and cannot find the message. Where is it?
It's not in the message list, it's not in the "taco bell" list
Where is it?
