Attack my own city?

After I conquered a city in w45, my troops are still attacking it. 2 of my scholars were lost after this incident. Please attend to this problem. I like the game very much and it would be sad to see bugs like this. Thank you for your consideration.

Attacks must be planned carefully. Though this tactic may be useful if you believe other players are sending scholars at a city, and that the city might switch players.

How bout the scholar? Is that normal to attack the city you captured then lost in the process?
