Scholar limit 23

After buying scholarships in limit 23 it skipped the educate option and has gone onto limit 24 , I now have to buy a whole new batch of scholarships? That is a serious amount of scholarships wasted , help?

By any chance had you captured the town in which was a scholar that you could use after the taking?
