When you conquere a city, the scholar you send becomes the ruler of the city and vanishes. I think this will explain it. If disappeared scholars = (number of cities -1), this is normal.

Sorry. I didn't get it. Can you re-phrase this?

If you have 12772 scholarships saved perhaps you can educate 73 scholars (waiting to be created).

By the way, these numbers are extremely high (at least for me). How long have you been playing? How many cities do you have?

Either you captured a city that was hiding scholars, or you need to contact support.

Perhaps the Academy can be modified to list which cities have scholars and how many.

OK, here is the calculation (used Excel to get this):

For 113 cities you used 112 scholars. This makes 6328 scholarships.
If you have 12772 scholarships, you generated 19100 scholarships total.
With 18915 scholarships you can train 194 scholars.
You already used 112 scholars, so 194-112 = 82 scholars can be generated

But it says minus 72, so there must be an error.

So, report this as a possible bug to support. Just point them here.

It can be that as the number of saved scholarships is large, an overflow occurred, so it becomes negative.
