New valor user has lockup when map button is pressed

Hi, this isn't for me, but a buddy of mine just downloaded the game today, has an iPhone 4 with the iOS release prior to 5.1.1. When he clicks the map button, the game completely freezes up and he has to shut it down and restart it. anyone else seen this? Anything that can be done? Thanks!

Is he using Valor HD?

Some players have reported issues with the map in Valor 2.0 . This issue is something that will be resolved in 2.1 .

For now please suggest to him to download Valor (not HD version) and that should hopefully stop that freezing.
