I'm seeing other players with medals already in world 74. There's still about 20 hours left of the first round of competitions, so I doubt these were properly earned. How are they getting them early? Did comps start in world 73 before 74 and medals carry from world to world, or are they hacking?

Medals do show on every world.

Anybody you see with a medal right now would be someone who earned it in world 73.
