Truce glitch?

We had a guild wide launch on the top player in world 74..one of our guys shot and took one of his cities so when the rest of us tried Truce had been called on his cities.............nothing surprising there but in just over 1 hour we were all able to launch attacks again.!? ? Can you cancel truce or is this a glitch.?

Truce is able to be cancelled. Truce can't be used again till 24 hrs has passed since truce fInished/was cancelled.

But you have the option to extend it ....yes?

No, 24 hrs is maximum.

Thx ....just confused as there is an Extend button at the bottom on the truce screen.?
