I just went to farm an inactive player in w122. The player is on 1085 points. Lord******* yet there was 2000lanc in there to kill all my troops. No guild ! Farm level 0. Must be a bug surely ? Anyone else had this ? Now I got to rebuild thanks valor :(

I've heard stories that some players get a lot more troops when they're inactive.
For example a guildmember of mine said he knew someone that went from 2 scholars to around 40 - 50.
If it's true, i cannot tell unforunately.

If he had a level 15 or higher city hall, it would be possible to downgrade every buildig to level 0 except for the city hall of course.

Ya this is a huge problem in w84. It affects active players too. One city I capped had support outside the city but it had over 38k in population over 14k over the pop cap. Had like 8k guards in the city along with other troops

Yes, they are not stories. Barbs and cities of inactive players rise troops and scholars. Not always but it happens.

Playmesh, this is not the best way to encourage people to play: if I do not log for a couple of weeks I found tons of new troops and scholars in my cities... this might become a new strategy ;)

Hello Ben, long time no talk ;)

This is a bug that PlayMesh is working on fixing. It certainly is nasty and Playmesh definitely does not like it. From what I understand of it, which is honestly not very much, they cannot simply reduce the number of troops in the city because they will just regenerate.

The best way, at this time, to combat this bug is to scout before you begin attacking a city. Anytime you attack a city for the first time in a little while send a scout before your farming run. If it is starting to generate troops, it is best to find a new farm.

If you loose troops due to this bug then you should fill out a suppor ticket and they will return the lost troops to your account.

KMT, exploiting a bug intentially is asking for trouble ;) I highly recommend that if you discover that it has happened to your city you alert PlayMesh so they can reconcile.

I hope what knowledge I have helps!

shekina, i already replied in another thread about this issue. i tried to be funny but i am upset about issues not fixed.
and it will probably never happen to me because i always log many time a day but if i found a city of mines with 15k knights more than my normal troops - as i am finding in many barbs - i will not ask to reduce them: i will throw them to my enemies!

I am having the same issue. I have found six inactive cities, farm level 0 with 3,000 - 6,000 lancers.

Same problem here in a conqurable barb world 133 I think but had 2200 lancers no farm no guild and afterward disappeared off the map sucks as I was almost at troop level to conquer a barb city

It just happened in world 108 with an inactive guild member's city that we were trying to conquer. So annoying, he lost his scholar and tons of guardians. Instant spy did not even see to reveal the increased troops..! So that was a waste of gold too.

I personally would advise that anybody who ends up with extra troops, report this to Playmesh immediately. If you decide to use these troops to attack, you are not only abusing a bug/glitch but you also make it harder for Playmesh to locate and fix this since reporting it to support will give them more information and make it easier to locate the problem that causes it in the first place.
