New update / cannot log in

I just updated V and now cannot access the game??!?!?
I keep receiving a message "trying to connect" "check your Internet connection".
Well, my connection is just fine and I have 50 incoming attacks which I need to deal with.. Seems impossible without being able to log in.!

Ok I found the thread in which you warning players not to update. So what's the solution?
I doubt members check every time in forum prior to install updates

I STILL cannot access the game!
I sent a support ticket yesterday an tey put me on truce and now te truce has expired and I was already under attack yesterday and couldn't support not recruit my cities.
This is seriously unacceptable..
You are solely responsible to any damage done and the waste of recruit time and cities which may occur due such negligence.

Update the game, new version is avalaible now and fix the bug.
