Not being able to rename cities after capture

I just captured a city and it won't let me rename it without having to pay, but i was able to rename it before for none is this intensional?
When the world was made Valor was meant to be, and so was food and bunch of communist wars and political things that I can't even pretend to understand.

I got exactly the same thing a couple times now. Only recently started happening. What's going on?

It is a bug we are currently working on fixing. Should be resolved soon.

What happens if you ended up having to pay the 5 gold to change a capped city to help differentiate between two barb cities? Is there any way to get that 5 gold back?

It's very annoying. I capped a few yesterday and its cost me a handful of gold already. Just done new update and it still won't let me change without using gold. Do we get compensated for yet another glitch��
