My valor guide, updated often. www.valorgameguide.wordpress.com

Postby jfoe1980 » Sat Oct 26, 2013 11:49 am

Just wanted to share my guide. I've been working on it for a long time. There is still so much I want to write about. I always welcome constructive criticism. So come lend a hand and be part of it. I can allow wordpress access to anyone who wants to help out.

Just a quick remark about your scholar attacks: putting fakes between your scholars attacks won't help... Looking at the proximity of time attacks means that you're attacking from lots of different cities, so if the opponent is awake, he'll know travel times and so know where are the scholars; fakes won't protect them.

Put real nukes between your scholars attacks, and put real escort with your scholars; 200 zerks only defend them against lv25 walls on EMPTY cities...

And now, if you've the time to look further at your attacks, with the map showing the travel of incomings and place of where troops are, each attack can be considered to know if it holds scholars or not, in order to snipe it.

I myself try never to kill first incoming scholar, sometime 2nd depending on my mood, but always snipe from 3rd to 5th scholar... With your "better" or "nearly perfect" attacks, you'll never be able capping my city...

Best way of invading is being unclear and unpredictible... Standard invading procedures are known since long and easy to defend if the attacks aren't REALLY heavy...

And as far as never sending more than one scholar in attack, it can sometimes be beneficial. For instance, if you have a heavy escort meet some resistance, a second scholar might survive where the first does not.

Exact, as each kind of troop die at the exact same percentage, if you've got 1 scholar, he'll die if 50% of your attack is wiped; if you send 2, 75% of your attack has to die in order both to die too / 3 sent; 84% must die in order to have no surviving scholars, ...

Hmmm... I thought I mentioned all that stuff in my guide. Maybe I need to clean it up a bit and make it more reader friendly. I do understand what you are saying though about putting fakes in between scholars. It's really just for sake of saving space in the writing so people understand about threading. I also mentioned putting real attacks in there.

As for the scholars sending 2, that is something I never thought of and can see it working. But I really don't think I would ever do it since if I have enough troops to kill all the defense and only one scholar go through, that I would probably just send my clearing wave minus a few zerks, and send 2 more separate waves. I think that is definitely worth putting in the guide though.

I would live to put valor tools in the guide and give you credit. I actually came across those in kakao quite awhile back but no one knew how to use them. I'm going to check that link in a minute. Is there a guide on how to use them?

I never made any guide on how to use them, but tried to give the bases of each Excel tool in the first sheet...

But as few gave me feedbacks, I would be really happy to level up the experience by increasing the ease of use, but need remarks... As I created the tools, they seem logical to me, but I know only to me X-C

Anyway, I always can be contacted on kakao: same ID, myname999

About the scholars, I agree I never saw someone sending multiple scholars in a single wave: most are completely killed, and thinking about the survivors percentage in order to have a scholar effect is theorical. I most often saw people sending multiple waves with scholars in order you not being able to dodge everyone (last guy sent me 9 scholars in 9 different waves, with other fakes and nukes waves... I let him take the city, surely having multiple recapping and sent 2 scholars of mine from my closest city :-D)
