Tripwires as they say?

Postby PowerpuffNinja » Sun Jun 17, 2012 6:34 pm

So I have been in a bunch of guilds and in the guild forums I have noticed some thing called a tripwire.
They say that a tripwire can be activated by sending a sentry to a city and they detect attacks.
so are these so called tripwires true?

When a city is attacked the owner of any troops in the city gets an attack notification. That's all a tripwire does. You put a troop of any type in support of another city. When that city gets attacked, you get notified.

What I wanna know is why don't you trust what your guild mates say?

A tripwire is when u send a troop to support your team mates (scout preferably) and if a attack is sent at the town which has your troop in it you will be notified by a message which says that your troops where attacked. A tripwire usually consists of just one troop, but u may add more for convenience if u wish. Hope this helped.

Why would a scout be prefferd as a tripwire? Does using a scout provide more info?
I use 4 or 5 lancers or sentries to:
1. Aid in defense, although it is't much ;-)
2. To see which percent of my troops survived. It will give a rough estimate of how stong the attack was?
Will using a scout give me detailed info of the attack?

It's not a question of trusting your guildmates, but of being notified even when they are not online when the attack comes in.

U send a tripwire when u know that u friend will be away without wifi or internet and he wants to continue to play. I use single scouts as they are the lightests and fastest travelers. It does make no difference which troops u use i just prefer speed. As it may be a essence.

That is correct, let me rephrase.
A bunch of people you know tell you one thing but you ask strangers if it's true.

Is that true or false : I'm sending 4 units (lets say lancers) as a tripwire and the person gets attacked : ppl say if you lost 1 lancer means your guildmate lost 25% of his troops, 2 means your guildmate lost 50% of his troops .....
