How many cities is too many to manage? What is the perfect balance of cities and time for you?

Once I get over a hundred I tend to slow down. The maintenance becomes tedious and a daily c****. But that's me, In every world I play I'm on first page of leaderboards and keeping a furious pace so maybe I just burn myself out really fast.
