Getting rid of the chaos "exploit" does not necessary change gameplay, it just forces players to buy truces. So come on Playmesh, isn't that your real motivation for the upcoming change?
Agree or disagree with the use of chaos, removing it is a significant change in gameplay, strategy, and tactics. The fact is that you should not implement such a significant change in the middle of a world, where people have spent hundreds or thousands of hours playing when, clearly, there is significant objection.
Chaos has become part of the game and is "exploited" by those that are highly organized. While it adds extra dimensions to the game play, there is no requirement to use it for those who don't like the tactic. Let people continue to play in the manner they've come to enjoy.
