It seems that everybody experienced the updating messages today. Everybody experienced the inability to do anything in valor. When there where only 9 worlds back in March of 2011 the PlayMesh people decided to give every single player 50 free gold because of the inconvenience of an unexpected server downtime. And they did it again not to long after, handing out 25 gold to everybody because of a server downtime. Like today. Then, there wasn't more free gold. Even through there where more server downtimes like today. No free gold anymore.

Why?

Gold was given back when server downtime was something that occured fairly frequently.

We have been working recently on improving server uptime and even with this one it was a fairly short time.

Just because the server goes down for a short time doesn't mean we will give out gold.

If there was an extended downtime like the days of old then gold compensation would be considered.
