New World Types and Feedback

Postby Nick_ValorCM » Thu Oct 08, 2015 11:59 am

Greetings Valorians,

We're putting together some ideas for new worlds and changes to make to the current rotation in order to ensure a steady of variety and frequency of worlds opening and closing.

The first part of this is reducing the max population and changing the rewards of the next legacy world, w551. We'll monitor things and use that inform to what other changes we can make.

But we'd also like to hear from you! I know plenty of players have ideas for new kinds of worlds, or the return of some retired world types. We'd like to start testing some new ideas and running different types of worlds at times.

I'll use this forum thread as a hub for those discussions and ideas.

A tournament world would be cool. Each guild gets a region. And is pitted up against another region. They can't move on to the next region. Until their first match up is clear. Or something like that anyways.

Original world types would be great, especially with no gold availability so if you win, you know it was on an equal footing

Fix the inequality of android to ios. You said 8 month a ago you were going to. You have yet to post anything about updating for android as you PROMISED to do this year. It seems you don't take android players seriously. Shame on you!

Addis is still around? Wow! Hey Michael! Please close all worlds from 99 and below. Maybe even cloee W100. I'm tired of checking on W2, 29, 30 and 100. They need to be over. Mostly dead worlds. Very few actively playing, but let us know. Maybe the servers can better handle the new worlds if some old old old like 2009 and 2010 worlds were shut down.

I think it could be nice to see some "slower" legacy worlds. Most are worldspeed 3, unit speed 3, which affect strategy towards rewarding attention and hitting offline players, rather than planning and coordination. Plus it would be much more compatible with kids/job. So a 1/1 speed world could be interesting to see again.

So far, I am enjoying W551 (besides the fact that there is no competition) for the size of the world. It is a good idea to shrink the worlds so that they can be filled out faster, unlike Legacy Worlds (10k). I expect more good surprises! :)
