Additional Food Required?

Additional Food Required?

My Farm is at maximum level...and so is my population...but I'm seeing a message on some buildings indicating "Additional Food Required".

What am I supposed to do now?

One idea, I guess, would be to reduce population, but how would I do that when I don't get attacked or tend to suffer significant losses when attacking other cities.

Otherwise, how would I further increase food production?

Demolish buildings then. Otherwise there is no way to get additional food

You could send un-needed troops to be killed off by barb cities. I just send very small attacks at a time 10-15 troops at barbs. They usually run into the wall and get killed off
