How to pause the game? World Inactivity - what does it mean?

I'll be traveling for a few days and will be unable to login and play the game.
Right now I have no incoming attacks and want to know if someone will be able to attack my city while I'm not playing? Is it possible that after the vacation I can come back to see my city conquered?
If all this is possible, can anyone tell me how to avoid it?
Is there any way to pause my city?

Also, can anyone explain to me what the option- "World Inactivity" mean?

1.You can't pause the game
2.World inactivity is when the world is offline,usually because the playmesh team are somehow editing the world

It is possible to return and find that your cities have been conquered because as Killer mentioned, it is not possible to pause game play.

Your best course of action is to queue defensive troops and buildings to continue to be produced while you are away. This should delay or prevent another player from capturing your city while you are inactive.

Actually your BEST defense is to have guild mates support your city while you're away.
