"Cancelling" Research

Im researching for ballista's and I don't want level 3 right and accidentally researched it. I tried to simple cancel it by clicking the "x" and was prompted "research can not be cancelled at this time". If this is a glitch fix it please. If there is no problem, why is it doing this?

Me thinks that if this is the case and a level 3 research is taking place, one can only wait till this process is finished, after that you can revoke this right, and (maybe) assign this research elsewhere, but that last part I am not sure off.

Canceling research is currently disabled. You will need to wait till it finishes and then revoke it. There is a sticky post in the general forums regarding this.
