Prestige

I was wondering, when you use prestige from the store, will it also help scholars which are already dispatched? I mean, do I need to activate prestige before I send my scholars, or can I activate it a few minutes before my troops hit? That information will be quite usefully for me :)

It is good from the minute that you activate it for 24 hours. If will cover your marching nerds and nerds still waiting to be dispatched!
