Troop loss on undefended barbs
Troop loss on undefended barbs
Why do I lose troops in barb camps that have no troops defending?

This is normal behaviour. There is a basic defense that is associated with a barb city and its wall. A higher wall will have a higher % defense increase, but a wall also has a very basic actual defense attribute that does not require troops to multiply the % and will result in some troop losses.
As an example:
If you attack a city with a level 10 wall and zero troops, it can be similar in nature to attacking a city with a level 0 wall and 10 sentries.

Sorry I'm late to this but, I've lost 3 lancer & 3 berserker on an undefended city with no wall. Sent 93 lancers & 86 berserkers. Makes no sense to me. Another ? - why do you lose more troops if you send more? I figure it's a % but, if 50 L & 50 B take out the defenders with losses of 10 each why would you lose 20 each after sending 200?
It's the basic defense value of the barb city. It'll make more sense if you don't use the "civilian defense" explanation. You're right that even figuative defenders, could not cause you to lose the same percentage of troops in a larger wave.
I prefer to think of natural causes of death. Stagnant water, diseased rodents, exposure to the elements, angry deity, etc.
