W125 - 1k Standard World Questions

Postby FlyingHigh » Wed Jan 09, 2013 11:25 am

In W125, our guild has now conquered all other guilds players with the exception of a few players that are 4k points or less. We are in a "mop up phase" and everyone in the guild is asking the same questions:

1) Do we need to conquer players that are not in a guild?

2) What will the "prize" be?

3) Why are there so many cities at 1085 - 1100 points that have been there for four weeks? (or longer). One of these players is a friend and he claims to not have signed in since the first week. Shouldn't his city barb? I believe it is 30 days, but that seems long for a 1k world? It seems to us that this should be two weeks max, otherwise the world simply gets boring and mundane after the major enemies have been eliminated...

For now, our main question is about un-guilded players as this doesn't seem to be clear...

From the Victory conditions article at http://valorgame.com/wiki/strategy/trial-by-sword-3-0-0/world-victory-conditions/

Under Last Guild Standing, a guild may win a world by eliminating all rival players and guild. This includes eliminating any players that elect to start over after being rimmed (Note: There are limited respawns permitted).

If they aren't in your guild, they are rival players.

The prizes will be revealed once a world reaches that goal.

Besides the 3 day inactivity change for the first 3 days then the 30 day inactivity timer remains.

That's too bad - mopping up in a world like W125 where all that is left are players smaller then 2k points is going to be mundane and boring. It's also too bad Valor has to be so vague about the prize - why would we want to slog along killing all these small inactive players? For what? ....sigh... Another great idea with poor execution...
