Regions

When a new world opens and you select a region where are you typically placed? and what happens when you just press enter and dont select a region?

By region I mean location ie. South east/west North east/west.

Your placement is randomly calculated and distributed either way, near others and never alone.

If you pick a location, as expected, you are given a random coordinate in that particular location.

Not picking a location, provides a random coordinate in a random location.

How do the 25 regions relate to the 4 quadrant locations?
