Multiple guilds

I searched the forums and couldn't find an answer to this so apologies if it's been discussed. Can you be in more than one guild? I just figure more allies the better, but I could also see how that might make a player too strong. I haven't noticed anyone else on my world who was, so thought I'd ask. Thanks!

Currently each player is limited to one guild at a time.

There are some players who like to hop between guilds to help with communication etc as there are no limits to being invited to a guild.
